Holy Week: Identity in Christ

Because of Jesus' work on the cross and His resurrection from the dead, we are given a new identity in Christ!
Read over the list of things below that are true of you because of Jesus. Ask the Lord to highlight a few of these that may be hard for you to believe or accept. Take time to look up the verses associated with those statements.
As you read the verses, ask God to reveal the root fears that keep you from believing the truth about who you are in Christ. You may want to journal during this time.
Then spend some time asking the Lord to establish His truth in your heart and mind. End your time by thanking God for His gifts of salvation and new life.
I am loved. (1 John 3:3)
I am set free. (Romans 8:2)
I am a Saint. (Ephesians 1:1)
I am accepted. (Ephesians 1:6)
I am a child of God. (John 1:12)
I am dead to sin. (Romans 1:12)
I have been justified. (Romans 5:1)
I am promised eternal life. (John 6:47)
I am clothed in Christ. (Galatians 3:27)
I am God's co-worker. (2 Corinthians 6:1)
I am a joint heir with Jesus. (Romans 8:17)
I am a citizen of heaven. (Philippians 3:20)
I am God's workmanship. (Ephesians 2:10)
I am no longer condemned. (Romans 8:1-2)
I am more than a conqueror. (Romans 8:37)
I have the Holy Spirit in me. (Ephesians 2:22)
I am redeemed and forgiven. (Colossians 1:14)
I am the righteousness of God. (2 Corinthians 5:21)
I am a member of Christ's body. (1 Corinthians 12:27)
I am chosen of God, holy and dearly loved. (Colossians 3:12)
I am established, anointed, and sealed by God. (2 Corinthians 1:21)
I have been given a spirit of power, love and sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)
