Holy Week: New Creation

When we believe the labels the world puts on us, we become mere shadows of who God intended us to be.
We say:
I am not good enough.
I am not pretty enough.
I am not smart enough.
I am not enough.
And so on…
Beloved, God says otherwise! He has made us a new creation in Christ and He invites us to lay down the lies we have embraced about ourselves.
Take a scrap piece of paper and write down the negative things you have believed about yourself in the past. Now crumple the piece of paper up and throw it away!
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, this person is a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold, new things have come. - 2 Corinthians 5:17
On another piece of paper, write out the verse above and personalize it with your name. Then read it out loud, declaring God's truth over your life!
Pray and ask the Lord to remind you of what His Word says when the lies begin to creep in. Now post your verse somewhere that you will see it daily.
